PMM-8. This course addresses how organizations can assess and determine how to better manage their project portfolios. Topics discussed: Programs and Projects, Organizational Considerations (roles/responsibilities of Project Sponsors/PMO/Sr. Management), What makes a good PMO?, Planning Considerations (e.g. setting priorities), Tracking/Monitoring Considerations, Change Control Considerations, and "Communicating the Value" (of having an efficient system for managing multiple projects). Participants are encouraged to assess how well they are currently managing multiple projects, and determine what strategies would be appropriate to continually improve their own systems. (8 PDUs)
